Design, vision and functions
Vision:
A developed village based on human organization.
Mission:
Rural self-reliance through training, capital formation, modern technology, integrated management of existing opportunities and resources by mobilizing local communities.
Strategic Objectives:
financial inclusion of members;
human resource development;

 Extension of modern technology to increase agricultural production;
Capacity building of the rural poor;
Employment generation of rural people.

Functions:
Creation of formal and informal human organizations;
Human and skill development training;
Capital creation and management of beneficiaries;
Agricultural credit, microcredit disbursement and management;

 Coordination of rural development activities among different stakeholders;
Implementation of development projects related to rural development and poverty alleviation;
Development of rural leadership and empowerment of women;
Transfer and extension of irrigation and other modern agricultural technologies with a view to increasing agricultural productivity and assistance in production of minor crops;
Enhancement of rural production and promotion of rural products by establishing marketing linkages for the produce of the beneficiaries;

Creating opportunities for people's participation in local development and linking rural communities with various nation-building agencies and coordinating services provided.
